I grew up near San Francisco and studied English Literature in Los Angeles. After that, I joined the Peace Corps. They sent me to a small town in Ukraine where I taught English to students of all ages.
After a few years working in the U.S., I felt like I wanted to go abroad again. I thought I would just go for a year, little did I know
that decision would considerably change my life.
I fell in love with teaching and one year turned into ten away from home.
I received a teaching certificate and spent the last five and a half years teaching some of the best high school students in Korea.
I've lived in three countries and five states and now feel so lucky to have found a home in Denver at Colorado School of English.

Born and raised in Louisiana, my grandparents fostered a love of literature and travel in me from a young age. After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and TEFL certification, I decided to set off on my own adventures which led me to teach in 3 countries and online, in many subjects, in every developmental group—from infant to old age—as well as to earn my teaching certification and to take master’s level coursework in teacher leadership. Along the way, I was blessed to learn much alongside my amazing students and coworkers. Ten years on, I am still a lifelong learner (you’ll find me studying new languages and teaching methods) and explorer (you’ll find me in the mountains or around town). I am so very passionate about helping others in their own adventures and hope that learning English here at CSE allows students to reach their goals!"

Teaching has been in my bloodline for at least three generations and I feel honored to carry the torch onward here at the Colorado School of English.
It has been an amazing blessing as well as an eye-opening experience to have been raised with two languages: English and Portuguese.
A born and raised native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I learned English from my American father and Portuguese through my Brazilian mother. I also attended the American School of Rio de Janeiro (EARJ) where education was bilingual and subjects were taught in both Portuguese and English.
I’ve taught ESL for over 15 years, starting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil followed by Boston MA, where I spent almost ten years before moving to Colorado in 2021. Excited for this new chapter as a teacher at Colorado School of English and hope to provide an unforgettable educational experience to people from all over the world.

I grew up in a melting pot of languages and cultures which has played a profound influence on why I decided to become an English teacher. I think one of the best ways to learn is through teaching and through the exchanges of knowledge and ideas. It is so incredible to see what can be created when we bridge the gaps between language barriers to communicate and further delve into the human connection.
I began my career as a teacher while in college, working as a tutor. Raised in Florida, I took a road trip and moved out to Colorado in September of 2024. I’m looking forward to learning some winter sports and all the nature I get to explore in Colorado! In my free time I enjoy baking, practicing yoga and studying herbalism.

As a travel enthusiast, aspiring linguist, and supreme nerd of all things international and intercultural. I am very happy to be working for CSE.
I grew up in the Mountains of Colorado before going to Colorado State University where I studied international studies and industrial/organizational psychology. I also studied and then worked in China as an English teacher for a few years where I got to visit many places around south east Asia.
I am now back in my beautiful home state of Colorado, and thrilled to be helping international students during their adventures in the States.
You will find me at the front desk (most likely with coffee in hand),
happy to swap stories and chat about your experiences.

I was born and raised in Argentina and I’ve always been passionate about languages:
I’m fluent in English and Spanish, and I have some knowledge of Portuguese, Italian, French and Catalan. I’m also currently learning ASL.
I started learning English when I was only 6, and after getting my Translation degree in 2019, I decided to move to the US as an Au Pair. After that, I just stayed in Denver. My favorite things about Colorado are the sunshine and the mountains!
In my free time I enjoy hiking and spending time in nature. I absolutely adore the snow but after 3 winters here, I have yet to go snowboarding.
I love going to concerts and I 100% recommend adding Red Rocks to your Colorado bucket list!
What I love most about working at CSE is the opportunity to learn from all the different people and cultures our students represent.

My whole life I’ve been fascinated by language, and by the different ways that people and cultures use language to express themselves. But it took a haphazard trip to Colombia to make me realize that this was what I wanted to dedicate my career to. In Colombia I went on my own language learning journey, and ended up spending 7 years living and working in Bogotá.
Today I’m passionate about sharing with my students that same experience, and I hope that learning English might also open them up to new worlds of music, art, movies and thinking.
I have a BA in English literature from Boston College, and a Celta certificate for teaching English. I’m always happy to discuss books, travel plans, or nerdy grammar topics with students. On the weekends you can usually find me somewhere in the mountains climbing on some rocks.

I was born and raised in the Denver metro area.
I have a BA in English Literature from the University of Colorado Denver.
After working in banking for a decade, I made a decision that forever changed my life: I quit my job, sold my house and took a backpack to Europe for three months. It was then that I decided to get my CELTA certification and become an English teacher. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made.
I’m passionate about teaching and travel. My life has been made richer by connecting with people from around the world and immersing myself in other cultures. I’ve taught English in the U.S., Spain and all around the world online. I’m so thankful that I have the opportunity every day to help students achieve their language goals.

I am a Colorado native, and grew up in the Conifer/ Evergreen area. I graduated from CU Boulder, double majoring in English and Humanities. As a 20 year old undergraduate student, I traveled around the world by ship on a program called Semester at Sea, a life changing experience which opened up my heart and mind to the rest of the world. After that, I backpacked around the world for 6 months, and finally landed in Kyushu, Japan, to teach English for two years at a junior college. I obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from the School for International Studies in Vermont, and have been teaching academic English and ESL for the past 20 years in university, family literacy and language school settings. It will always be a pleasure for me to connect with students, make English comprehensible, and inspire language learning.

I was born and raised in Arvada, Colorado. I have a BA and MA in International Studies from the University of Denver. I also received an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Ulster in Derry/Londonderry.
After graduating from college, I moved to London and lived in Europe for almost 5 years, traveling, teaching, and learning about myself and the world. My passion for traveling has taken me to over a dozen countries. I’ve taught English in the U.S., Ukraine and Northern Ireland.
I am a lifelong learner and explorer. I currently live in Denver with my husband and gorgeous baby who will definitely learn as many languages as I can teach her. I am also a published author and I love to read and write in my limited free time.

I was born in Denver but was raised by hippie parents in California, Washington, and Oregon. I received my BA in History/Literature from Williams College and my Master’s Degree in Education from Northwestern University. Thanks to my parents, Wandering has been an ongoing theme in my life. Some of my most rewarding years were spent living, learning, and teaching English in Valencia, Spain where I earned my CELTA credential. I was then a high school English teacher in Chicago and Denver and I continue to nurture a love of languages and deep curiosity in the culture and perspectives of different types of people. When I’m not teaching, I’m in the mountains. I am heavily involved in programs to diversify the outdoors, specifically providing access to winter sports to City youth with little access to the mountains. The discovery and the development of individual talents are what get me out of bed every day.

I was born in New Jersey and raised between New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Mississippi. As well as being an ESL instructor, I’m a visual artist and have a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Master of Fine Art from the City University of New York, Hunter College.
I lived in China from 2007-2011, where I started teaching English. I was a Professor of English at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou and taught at English First in Guilin. I spent 11 years living in New York City where I taught at numerous schools, most notably Kaplan International Languages and GEOS Languages Plus.
I moved to Denver in 2022 and spent my free time painting, hiking, skiing, and seeing live music.

I was born and raised in Algeria (North Africa)
I got my 2 BAs: English language (linguistics/literature)/ Translation and Interpretation (English/Arabic/French) as well as a TEFL certificate in teaching English. My story with the English language started with an embarrassing situation in the middle school. Astonishingly, that was the catalyst to my English learning journey. I have been teaching for over 18 years and I love it. I love the outdoors (hiking, camping, soccer)
I live with my wife and kids in the Lakewood area.

As a travel enthusiast and cultural inquirer, I love working with international students. I first got to do this in college, when I taught English in Lebanon. After graduating with an English education degree and TESOL certification, I taught in the Netherlands and England. Since coming back to my roots in Colorado, I am so excited to have been able to join the team at CSE. What I love about CSE is that I am often the learner, as I get to hear about students’ home cultures. I love helping students take their next steps in becoming global citizens.

I was born in Colorado and raised in the Rocky mountains. In university, I discovered a love of language learning that inspired me to study linguistics. So, I graduated with a BA in Linguistics and Spanish (I completed my studies in Valencia, Spain). I've been teaching since 2021, and I am happy to be a member of a community of language learners. What I most enjoy about working at CSE is helping students to build connections with others. In the future, I want to travel more. My dream is to one day visit anywhere in Asia. I love learning about cultures that are different from my own and I always look forward to meeting new students - maybe like you! :)
